GQ Russia September 2010: Things I Love

One of my favorite blog discoveries is The Fashionisto, which scans and shares amazing editorial, new models, and fashion photography from around the world. I know I've referenced them many times before, and I couldn't resist another turn when they recently posted shots from GQ Russia's September issue.

I mean this whole spread is just amazing! First of all they're using a face I keep seeing around, and who is definitely growing on me, AJ Abualrub. He is just so versatile in the looks he pulls off!

Second, they pulled in some simple and clear pieces that really showed off Fall 2010, with looks from Tom Ford, Phillip Lim and Prada (shown below). In fact the pic I posted here is a coat I have been obsessing over for a while... Prada just outdid themselves with this one.

You have to check out the rest of the photos at: http://thefashionisto.com/aj-abualrub-james-hampson-helge-gjerstad-by-walter-chin-for-gq-russia-september-2010/#more-76529. Enjoy it!

Things I Want: Phillip Lim Travel Set

Given how much I travel, I am always on the lookout for great on-board accessories. For me I've found that the trick to resting on a flight is a good eyemask.

So I was very excited to see this travel set by Phillip Lim, sold at the Ace Hotel's new Opening Ceremony curated shop. A very soft and comfortable looking eye mask, and a blanket that doubles as a shawl or a hoodie. I love it! How warm + snuggly would that be on a plane.

From what I've read the new Opening Ceremony at the Ace New York has some fantastic finds, but you can start by reading more about the Lim travel set here: http://www.openingceremony.us/entry.asp?pid=562

Things I Have: Belt by Phillip Lim

I think Phillip Lim is great... both his women's and men's lines (I found the cutest shirt of his at Harvey Nick's in Hong Kong... it was just one size too small). Totally a fan of the epaulets and the gold buttons he uses everywhere.

So, I picked up this rockin' yellow belt! I am so into yellow (I have yellow shoes and hopefully soon a yellow trench). For now the belt is enough & keeps me bouncin' throughout the day.
