Burberry Prorsum Duffle Pouch: Things I Want

Watching the livestream of Burberry Prorsum's Spring '14 show, I was taken with the small leather pouches the models carried. Simple and functional and in a range of bright colors.

Since under-the-arm portfolios have been a thing the past few seasons, I liked the versatility of these bags: to carry your lunch, as a dopp kit, or just throw in your phone and daily essentials.

I've been waiting for these to hit retail... and today I found them available on Burberry's site. They are available in a variety of colors -- although I'd been eyeing the yellow, and what was shown on the runway translated into a less bright and more mustard color in production.

But the green is nice + bright and will be an awesome accessory for Spring... once I actually buy it, that is.

If you need a refresher on the rest of what Burberry showed for Spring... you can peep it over on Style .com.

Osklen Fall 2014: Things I Love

So I've been a fan of Osklen ever since my first trip to Brazil. I would walk into their store on Oscar Freire in Sao Paulo and feel transported... the scents, the sounds, the feel of the clothes. As a result I've been made some great purchases (including a one-off enormous leather duffel created for their runway show) along the way.

For Fall '14 the brand has gone full force with color, and I love it. Staying true to the casual meets luxury core of the brand, yet updated with a strong punch of vibrancy through the color and prints being used.

I loved this look with the green on green, and the wide neck sweatshirt.

Already owning a number off white/off-white pieces from Osklen, I thought the combination of this collared shirt with a slick pair of pants presented a sophisticated look.

A simple use of black and white, but something that stands out, stays true to the brand, and is definitely something I would wear for summer (north of the equator that is).

Overall a strong continued showing from Osklen and I can't wait to shop their Soho store once this collection arrives. Full images at Fucking Young!

Spring Neckwear from Orley, Givenchy, Jil Sander: Things I Have

I've been feeling a little sparse in the neckwear department and so last week headed out to do a Spring replenishment.

My first stop was the new (and very well appointed) Carson Street Clothiers. I'd been to their Opening Night party and spotted a few amazing Orley ties. So I went back to pick up their Houndstooth Tie in Olive (below far right).

Next I headed over to Jeffrey, the store I try to avoid because there's always incredible designer picks I want. I tried on a really cool short sleeve Jil Sander sweater (more to come on that), but ended up taking home a green Givenchy Paisley print tie (far left below) and a Jil Sander Hexagon print in navy (middle).

I also grabbed the matching pocket square for the Jil Sander print, and can't wait to wear them together for an (overly) coordinated look.

Sports Coat from L.B.M. 1911: Things I Want

While in Chicago this week I decided to scout out the local menswear scene... enter Haberdash. They have multiple locations around the city, and I stopped in at State Street. And one of the first things I noticed was a row of cool cotton sports coats.

The sales director told me they were L.B.M. 1911, a line I was previously unaware of (although now upon doing a quick search, I see that Josh Peskowitz was talking about these guys over a year ago).

From Italy, these coats all start out white and are hand-dyed and pre-washed. As a result the color is a bit softened, they're extremely comfortable, and really simple to care for. In my continued quest to introduce other colors than navy into my closet, I tried on the emerald.

The fit was perfect and it was easy to see how I could throw this on for any occasion and get a great look. Here's the lookbook photo Haberdash has...

Since I just picked up that amazing Carven blazer last week in Paris, I didn't walk out with this one, but I wanted to! Read more about them on the Haberdash site.

Green Cotton Pants from Unis: Things I Want

I stopped into Unis today, a favorite label of mine, but also a store that does a great job of presenting their wares (and a nice mixture of other's as well!).

There was a really great summer feel in the shop -- Nantucket rope bracelets, anchor printed scarves, and some scuba finds in the window. And of course, Unis' famous cotton pants in a range of bright colors.

I really liked the Grass Green, not so in your face that people get scared, but definitely something that stands out. And of course they fit like a dream...

If you are in NYC I suggest swinging by to get the whole "ready for summer" vibe. If you're not... then make sure to check out their website.

Porter x Adidas Sneakers: Things I Want

As you know from past posts, I am addicted to Porter. I don't know what it is... oh wait, I do know. It is the bright colors, the use of plastic and vinyl, and the great designs. The Porter wallet in my back pocket attests to that!

And I've been obsessed with high tops the past year... so this collab between Porter and Adidas is calling my name.

Love the back zipper, love the quilted sides, love the color (perfect for Fall). Gimme these shoes!

Porter is still not easy to find Stateside, so I may have to order these from Japan. Hai!
