Striped Tie by Lanvin: Things I Have

Recently I needed a tie last minute before an event... so I ran over to Jeffrey's (thankful it is close to my office) and checked out their selection. I had a really cool Band of Outsiders tie in hand, until the sales person pulled this one off the rack...

I loved the very traditional blue and green stripes, with the gold outline. It was exactly what I needed, I grabbed it, and ran!

Just wore it to an event tonight and thought it worked quite nicely.

Bag from Lanvin Spring 2012: Things I Want

With the release of images from Lanvin's Men's Spring 2012 accessories, I definitely found something I want. I've been a fan of Lucas Ossendrijver since he started at the label, and the accessories offering doesn't disappoint.

My favorite was this great bag, with a mix of prints (reminds me a bit of the camo/navajo portfolio from Trussardi) and a casual feel with the nylon and backpack type closures.

Really like the top handle and the front pouch... and this will be on the top of my list come Spring!

Found this via Selectism with more images at Highsnobiety. Check. It. Out.

Hightops from Jimmy Choo: Things I Want

Any follower of this blog knows I am a fan of hightops, and very smitten with the whole designer hightop phenom. Pierre Hardy, Lanvin, Louboutin... everyone is getting into it + I think it's great. So I was very happy to hear that Jimmy Choo was launching a men's range, and it would include the aforementioned category.

I really like the dress shoes in the inaugural Choo men's collection, but was really drawn to the Belgravia. Nice contrasting of materials, liked the stripe across the side, and it's made with a wool cashmere flannel. Oh and lined in shearling. These babies are soft!

Right now these are just available on pre-order from the Jimmy Choo site, but I am definitely considering adding my name to the list!

Lanvin for H + M: Things I Want

As many of you know, this is not my first time drooling over an H + M collab... you may remember (perhaps as fondly as I do) the time I stood on Queens Road in Hong Kong to try and snag a piece from the CdG collection. And I was successful!

So now of course comes the collection done by Lanvin and I cannot wait! Today I finally saw photos of both the women's and men's pieces and they were, in a word, exquisite.

For me I really want one of the tuxedo jackets, a pair of the shiny blue shoes, and this amazing navy coat. Please retail gods... let me have it!

I love this coat because of the length, the simplicity of the design (at least what I can tell from the photo) and the gold buttons. Perfect for winter (when it does finally arrive).

Now, check out all of the photos here at NY Mag -- complete with prices so you can start saving. And begin to figure out how long you'll have to camp out in front of your local H + M to get some of this goodness.

Bon courage!

Things I Want: Shoes by Lanvin

Another brilliant shoe by Lanvin... love it, love it, love it. The suede pieces, the stiching around the ankle, the inlaid materials.

And I know, I have been so delinquent lately in posting. But now I am back & will be sharing the things I want, the things I have (not much new lately, to be honest), and the things I love. Stay tuned.

Meanwhile, you can learn more about these kicks from Selectism: http://www.selectism.com/news/2009/03/25/lanvin-autumnwinter-2009-footwear/

Things I Want: Shoes by Lanvin

I have to admit, I wasn't always the biggest fan of Lanvin. But it has been their shoes that lured me in, and now I love their stuff (see prior post on Lanvin x Acne collab).

This is the second pair of their shoes I've posted... I love the two tone, it makes me think someone stepped in a bucket of paint. I've been thinking a lot lately about how paint splotches or thick stripes of acrylic paint can change the look of something. These shoes fit right in.

You can read more about them from our friends at Selectism: http://www.selectism.com/news/2009/02/09/lanvin-cap-toe-blucher/
